WHO ARE WE?

We are your travelling companion on the Jesus Way

Bible Media is in the business of spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ. We inspire people to follow Jesus and grow as disciples on the Jesus Way.  We stand on the solid foundation of the gospel of Jesus Christ that carries us through life and promises us a glorious future.

We grow with the times

We seize the wonderful opportunities that the 21st century offers us for witnessing, serving and building the Kingdom of God. We call it a process of digital transformation.

In 2020, Bybelkor, LiG, Kerkbode, Jeugfokus, Goeie Nuus Media, Mema and the Nehemia Bible Institute took the final steps towards becoming “digital-first” organisations. This does not mean we are no longer going to provide printed products and aids to individuals, congregations and church leaders. But it does mean that we are positioning ourselves as a media organisation for the 21st century.

We are expanding our digital footprint

This transition not only enriches how we work but also aids in building a more comprehensive digital footprint. We are increasingly using a multi-faceted digital platform to invite people to experience life-changing events.

We inspire believers and church leaders

In addition to our print publications, we are now able to bring the gospel and spiritual growth to our continent via cell phones and other digital screens. We are especially excited about the possibilities of empowering spiritual leaders to make disciples of others, and to inspire discipleship and leadership.

Our donors make this possible

Bible Media’s activities can impact people’s lives because we are financially supported by selfless donors who make it possible to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.

It is with deep gratitude that we are able to tell others about our actions, new publications and ministries, as well as about a magazine and a newspaper that aims to spread the gospel and provide support to pastors, congregations and their members.

Markus 1:9-22

In 2021 we celebrate our 50th birthday. The anchor text we received for this time is Mark 1. This Scripture confirms our calling to inspire others on the Christian way.

At that time Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. Just as Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.”

At once the Spirit sent him out into the wilderness, and he was in the wilderness forty days, being tempted by Satan. He was with the wild animals, and angels attended him. After John was put in prison, Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God. “The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!” As Jesus walked beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.”

At once they left their nets and followed him. When he had gone a little farther, he saw James son of Zebedee and his brother John in a boat, preparing their nets. Without delay he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed him. They went to Capernaum, and when the Sabbath came, Jesus went into the synagogue and began to teach. The people were amazed at his teaching, because he taught them as one who had authority, not as the teachers of the law.
