FRIENDS OF KERKBODE
Supports trusted church journalism and open discussion
Help keep church news free

The Kerkbode team provides a reliable news and communication service within the Dutch Reformed Church to keep members and congregation leaders informed and equipped. We offer:
* Balanced church news and stories of hope and caring as well as fun reading profiles.
* All the official moves in the Dutch Reformed Church, latest vacancies, guest columns and divergent views on the letter page.
* Thought material: Theological reflection on the Bible and opinion and analysis by thought leaders and researchers.
We also appeal to loyal readers to become a part of our online community by downloading the Church Messenger app (Android or Apple), subscribing to our electronic newsletter and following our Facebook page.
We do not want to build a pay wall around www.kerkbode.co.za’s stories, official news, letters, columns and vacancies.
To be a sustainable and innovative church news service, we need to supplement the decline in subscribers for printed newspaper/media with digital income.
Your support enables Kerkbode to build on a history dating back to January 1849, when the first Kerkbode appeared with the aim of “spreading religious knowledge”.
